Gavin Spencer
Began at the company in 1995, coming straight from Sheffield College after studying Business and Finance. He has worked his way from accounts junior through to a partner of the company and leads the management team, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2003. Gavin specialises in corporate accounts and works closely with our larger clients delivering solutions and advice to meet their specific requirements,
Steve Heeley
Joined Thorntons Accountants in 1998 after working as an Auditor at a medium sized practice in Sheffield, He is now the Partner in charge of the private client department ad also oversees a portfolio of corporate clients.
Steve specialises in a wide variety of taxation matters including capital gains and property taxes and works closely with new start-up businesses helping them to grow.
Mathew Parsons
Graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Financial Studies in 2001. He joined Thorntons shortly thereafter and became a manager following his qualification as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2006. Mathew became a Partner in 2010 and works predominantly with our corporate clients, who he advises on all aspects of the financial side of their business and provides up to date management information, as well as advising on taxation and planning for future growth.
